Prime Triplet Checker is a free online tool used to check if three numbers are prime triplet numbers.
What is a prime triplet?
A prime triplet is a set of three prime numbers where the difference between the largest and the smallest number is 6.
Prime triplet sets are of the form (p, p + 2, p + 6) or (p, p + 4, p + 6). The exceptions to this are (2, 3, 5) and (3, 5, 7) because the difference between the largest and smallest is not 6.
Prime triplets always contain a pair of twin primes such as (p, p + 2) or (p + 4, p + 6), a pair of cousin primes such as (p, p + 4) or (p + 2, p + 6), and a pair of sexy primes such as (p, p + 6).
A single prime number can be a part of up to three triplets. Consider 103. It appears in three prime triplets: (97, 101, 103), (101, 103, 107) and (103, 107, 109). In this case, the five numbers involved in the triplets form a prime quintuplet – (97, 101, 103, 107, 109).
