Welcome to the Perfect Square Checker, where you can easily verify if a number is a perfect square.
What is a perfect square?
A square number, also called a perfect square, is an integer represented as a product of two identical integers. Square numbers can also be called a type of figurative number because the square of n can be represented as a square figure formed by arranging n points on each side. Square numbers of a negative integer are also positive. Expressed by the formula:
S = n * n = n2
where n is an integer.
For example, 16 = 4 * 4, so 16 is a perfect square.
To check whether a number is a perfect square, just judge whether its square root is an integer. If the square root is an integer, then it is a perfect square, otherwise it is not a perfect square.
